Welcome to my travel writing blog! Here I plan on writing about big adventures and small hideaways, cheesy-but-super-fun touristy destinations and hidden treasures from all over the world as well as from my beautiful home base here in the Fort Smith/Western Arkansas area. (FYI, the photo of the bluffs at the top of the blog is from Mount Magazine here in Arkansas. It’s a breathtakingly gorgeous area I’ll be writing about in more detail soon.)
A little about me: I am a full-time medical/health and travel writer. And although I spend A LOT of time traveling for medical conferences and conventions, I always manage to eek out at least a little time for exploring. So in addition to writing about these adventures, I’ll also pass along various travel, packing, and airport tips I’ve learned over the years — and new ones I discover from travel experts. Oh, and I’m always on the look-out for great new travel gadgets and/or the very best rollercoasters and thrill rides. So please let me know about your discoveries so I can share with everyone!
My plan for the blog (right now) is to post at least once a week about the Arkansas area, once a week about in-the-news topics or tips, and the rest of the time about grabbing fun at every opportunity. Ready for some adventures? Let’s go!
Just cruising on down the Danube in Austria
I knew Arkansas has some rare beauty but I had no idea Fort Smith had such rich and fun history. The True Grit-sters were a hoot and who has two thumbs and wants to see where Elvis got his GI cut…this gal. I’ll definitely be checking your blog periodically, especially when I head your direction for my annual TableRock lake vacation.
